In the mist-shrouded small town of Litan, Nora awakens from a disturbing dream in which she witnesses the violent death of her partner Jock. During the town's annual festival, she wanders the streets searching for him, but the inhabitants seem strangely absent, wearing faceless or animal masks and behaving in an increasingly unsettling manner. Amidst mysterious hospital staff, bizarre experiments, bloody accidents and murders, as well as glowing blue apparitions of light in the river running through the town, the boundaries between dream and reality begin to blur. Together, the couple attempts to break free from the nightmare and escape the town, while an unknown force seems to lurk around every corner...
